A JOURNEY IN FAITH...
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process in which adults become full, participating members of the Catholic Church. Participants, go through a process of studying the Gospel, nurturing their relationship with God, becoming familiar with the Catholic teachings and practices, professing their faith in Jesus and the Church, and receiving the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation.
CATECHUMEN: Someone who is of another faith and wishes to convert to Catholicism or was never baptized.
CANDIDATE: An individual who was baptized in another valid Christian denomination and wishes to become a member of the Catholic faith OR someone who was baptized in the Catholic Church, but never received the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation
***
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children, children not baptized as infants or who are baptized, but have not received any formal catechesis, who have attained the use of reason Age 7 + and are of catechetical age.
They seek Christian initiation either at the direction of their parents or guardians or, with parental permissions, on their own initiative. Such children are capable of receiving and nurturing a personal faith and of recognizing an obligation in conscience. But they cannot yet be treated as adults because, at this stage of their lives, they are dependent on their parents or guardians and are still strongly influenced by their companions and their social surroundings.
***
after completion of the program we will place your child in their regular CCD class.

The Mass is a vital part of the religious education of our children. When we bring our children to Holy Mass, we are bringing our children directly to Jesus: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, in the Eucharist! Our children are our gifts from God. As parents/guardians, it is our responsibility to bring them to God to teach them to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him!

Family Formation Gathering (see CCD calendar) this gives our families a chance to get together and learn about the liturgical Calendar with arts and crafts, Acts of Charity and/or stories.
