Archdiocesan  Annual Appeal
Your gift to the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal is a part of your personal commitment to  Christian Stewardship: Giving thanks to God by returning a portion of the blessings God has given you.   Your gift is a concrete example of being a good steward of God’s gifts. As missionary disciples, we seek to answer the Lord's call each day. Christian stewardship is one way we can respond to the Lord's call, as well as, assist our Church in serving those entrusted to its physical and spiritual care. Through the Sharing God’s Blessings Annual Appeal, the Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Newark comes together in support of ministries and programs which provide social, educational, and spiritual support throughout Essex, Bergen, Hudson, and Union counties.
We hope you will join us again in support of this important effort.

Monthly Memorial Masses

Our Parish has a monthly Memorial Mass on the first Saturday of every month.  Those enrolled are prayed for once a month for one year.  A large decorative Mass card is available.  Contact the Rectory for more details.

The Bayonne Soup Kitchen

The Bayonne Soup Kitchen began almost 10 years as an effort between St. Mary, St. Andrew and Assumption.  With the closing of Assumption we transferred the location back to ASCA, where it first was located.

Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish is committed to 6 months every year to cook and serve our guests.  We  managed to get through 2016 with the help of various community groups.  We are are reaching out to you, the other 3 Latin Rite parishes to help us manage the other 6 months of the year.  It is good to have the outside groups, but we would like to keep it as a Catholic outreach.  There are members of your parishes who are ready already involved.

Each weekend is handled by various groups like our Rosary and Holy Name societies, etc, so that it is not the responsibility of the same people always.  There is also a coordinator who makes sure that all weekends are covered.  BMT will continue to provide the supplies and pay for the cleaning, but we need your help.

We are reaching out to the groups who helped last year.  The following months are without any commitments:  February (with the exception of the 11th which already has been filled), March, May, June, September and December.

I and the people who have been running this for these past 10 years are here to answer any questions you might have.  Thank you in advance for considering to be a permanent part of our mission in helping our neighbors in need!

Hospital Eucharistic Ministers Needed

We are looking to increase our team of  Eucharistic Ministers who bring the Holy Eucharist to  patients at Bayonne Medical Center once a month on Tuesday mornings.  If you are interested, please contact the Rectory
